Ingredients:
4 cups parboiled rice
2 cups black gram

- Soak rice and gram separately for 4-5 hours.
- Grind rice and gram separately after the soaking is done.
- Ingredients should be grounded to a smooth batter.
- Add salt, mix the batter thoroughly in a large vessel and keep overnight in a warm place, for fermenting, approximately up to 6-8 hours.
- Heat the tawa on a slow steady flame.
- Spread very little oil on tawa, now pour a scoop full of batter and spread it evenly.
- When one side is done, remove carefully from the tawa, and turn on the other side.
