South Indian Feast

Sun-kissed weekend mornings and idli chutney for breakfast- life is good ❤️ We’re one of those who enjoy idli/ dosas for breakfast, be it any day of the week. Oh, how we love to linger over Udupi breakfast scenes at our home. That’s very gharelu of us, yes. Since we are never ever in a hurry to reach anywhere on snowy or chilly weekends, it works!

Weekends, more than often reminds me of the good ol’ days, where we’d start with hitting the stores for shopping and ended up at the cinema halls or the ice-cream parlors. With everything at your fingertips, including shopping and watching cinema on big screen at home, in our comfort zone, we often try to recreate the vibe at home, especially during the winters. It’s fun watching Bollywood movies shot in scenic places like Nainital, Shimla, Manali, Dalhousie, Ooty- movies with hill stations!? - have my ❤️ You instantly get transported!

I also made some sambhar and mini cocktail masala idlis tempered in ghee with some mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chilies and lots of store bought podi- for the love of Udupi scenes at home on wintry weekends. I’ll maybe grab a book to read while hubby watches his favorite 🎥 By the time he decides what to watch, I’ll be done with my reading, is what I think😉 Just Kidding!

Have a relaxing weekend, everyone - do what makes you happy 💗
